Unwavering is a heartwarming story about the perseverance of a family, and their hero single mother – against all odds, and through shear strength of will, their mother goes from merely surviving to making a gigantic impact as one of the first BIPOC war refugee builders in Canada.

Unwavering is a throwback kind of movie, about a mother that sacrifices for her children. It’s a story that is as old as time, but one that is often lost in these times.
During this socioeconomic times, we wanted to learn how these universal lessons can apply to this day and age.
We wanted to stay away from the cliché rags to riches story – and explore differences between different generations and our values.
More importantly, we wanted to leave room for viewers to think about how familial love plays a role in their own lives.

Unwavering as a micro-budget short documentary film, will rely heavily on the love and narrative of the characters to drive the film.
The documentary starts with Eric, going to the opening of a house which they have just completed.
The story follows Eric as the narrator, reminiscing with his siblings about how far they have all come, and what made their bond as a family so unique – the glue, the resilience of their mother, and all the lessons she taught them throughout the years.
Plot Line
Together, the siblings recount how their mother wanted to establish a new life in North America, but how isolated she must have felt, especially after her husband passed away. Although their marriage wasn’t perfect, at least she had his support. After his death, things continue to go wrong.
But throughout all the hardships, the siblings remember the lessons and unwavering courage their mother showed against all odds.
The story appeals to anyone struggling with business, family and the hardships of life
